Producer Greg Brenman conveys how #TheEnglish fits within the Western genre. “Westerns are universal stories about survival and independence...The English, while set in 1890, tells you as much about today as it does about life then. It is essentially about love and revenge."
To give each #LeagueofTheirOwn character their signature look, costume designer Trayce Field considered each woman’s attitude, identity, and sexuality. “Each girl had their own color palette…whether it was feminine or masculine, based off of the...energy that character put out.”
Actor Emma Corrin was intrigued by Marion’s strength in #MyPoliceman. “I think that from the very moment Marion meets Tom...there’s this part of her that is so curious and so determined to make it work...And that’s an insane strength.”
#Riches not only celebrates Black success, but it also uplifts powerful women as they navigate personal and professional tensions. Deborah Ayorinde shares, "I think one of the themes of the show was powerful, badass women who are smart and strong and beautiful.”
Director Jamie Babbit was honored to have the opportunity to tell more authentic stories in the series #ALeagueOfTheirOwn. “The whole process was hanging out with Mabel and her cast of friends and a lot of queer players and hearing their stories."
A nice stand up special from the nicest man in Stand Up comedy. What more could you want?
