“He’s obviously not our first choice, but Trump has a track record of winning elections, not to mention he does well with the conservative voters we’ll need to swing some red states blue—if that’s who we need to ask to ensure Bernie doesn’t win, we’ll do it.”

When requested her data from Amazon, she expected a list of products she had ordered. Instead, she got giant spreadsheets detailing everything she had read, highlighted, even looked up in the dictionary via her Kindle app:

By focusing on such a narrow population, critics argue, psychology researchers have — mostly unwittingly — presented a skewed view of the human mind (via )

I love Super Bowl statistics. (“No team that has failed to convert at least 35% of their 3rd downs has gone on to win” etc.) They are the best introduction to p-hacking that can be found outside major journals.

There were ways to adjust the debate rules when black and Latino candidates were being excluded, but that didn't happen. The rules were only adjusted when the billionaire needed to participate. That seems wrong.

I urge the people of Kansas and Missouri to think about this in November. He doesn’t know who you are. He doesn’t know where you live. He doesn’t know anything about you.

The Kerry 2004 campaign is such a weird moment in millennial collective memory. Imagine desperately wanting someone to win while also not liking or respecting him at all but not exactly hating him either. Just kind of meekly rooting for him and knowing it’s not going to work out.

I realize this is a leading question but I'm legit curious and my quick attempts at research didn't bring anything up, so... in 20 years, has Al Gore *ever* gone on the record with his thoughts about Ralph Nader?
