The study in question in rat models only deals with particular drugs in pancreatic cancer. It does not apply to all chemotherapy.
Nobody is saying it us rekevant to every cancer metely that is is worth knowing about these studies. How are we supposed to progress anything if we ignore anything uncomfortable to us ?

Each time I had chemo, I also had a nice heaping injection of steroids. For several months I was constantly hungry and couldn't taste anything.
