http://www.lawyersgunsmoneyblog.com/2018/11/cant-media-state-even-trumps-obvious-lies-liesOne … of the reasons journalists feel okay evading the L-word is they figure the text of the story will expose this fact. For instance, this story contrasts Trump’s lie with known facts about his relationship with Whittaker.

But our democracy is being dismantled, so we can’t get precious about this shit. So journalists and editors need to know: Unless the word “lie” is in the headline, you’re burying the lede.

I really don't think its laziness. We just have so much to do all the time, and now there's so much content out there... it's impossible to live a life and read every article to the end. 1/2
-
Plus, so many articles are so repetitive and give so much background that I skim most of the article until I get to the point. Then I close it. A lot of articles are written in 50 times the words it takes to make the point. It's time wasting and annoying.
-
That being said a lot of articles' background info is extremely valuable, but only in stories where the preceding events happened far enough in the past that reminding the audience serves an actual purpose. Most I read are rehashing the events of the very same week. Pointless.

Maybe today's journalists shouldn't be such untalented hacks that are working for the same people to push an agenda.

The modern construction of news articles is getting old. It’s tired, cliche, designed to obscure facts and makes coming to a reasonable conclusion elusive.
