Anybody else really annoyed by those describing the work done by Stacey Abrams, et al, in Georgia as "magic"? It was HARD. WORK. It took years. And they succeeded. When men succeed it's never because they were "magic."

Interesting, I def did not understand these nuances. I have described her work as a “miracle” in convos, but what I meant was that SHE did miraculously hard work. So I do think there are many who mean the phrase to GIVE credit rather than remove it
I hope so. But given its mostly high-profile men I’ve heard/seen using the word magic struck me as I cannot imagine that being used for a man. So many other words you could use, genius, astounding, impressive, diligent, etc.
