Cat friends: help! My kitty is on a weeklong course of meds and we're really struggling. When I try to pill her she just keeps it in her mouth until I let go and then spits it out. She's not fooled by pill pockets and when I mix it into her wet food she just ... doesn't eat it.
Hold her like a baby, wrapped in a towel if necessary (I call it 'the cat burrito') shoved into side of her mouth then stroke her chin/throat until it's down. She won't like it, but it works.

I did this and held her for ten minutes ... as soon as I let go, she just spat it out! I can't get her to swallow.

I kneel with the cat between my knees, facing forward. and cup around their chest with one hand. Pull their chin up, stick the pill in with the other hand, and then squirt a bit of water from a syringe to get them to swallow.
