This story is great but — a “frontier state”? It may be more rural, but it’s been in the USA since 1820 and is on the East Coast
all the real frontier states would like a word! Haha 
The actual definition of frontier is the border between two countries; but rural northern Maine also very much feels like a frontier even in the Americanized sense.

I do know what a frontier is (I know what?!) and this tweet was mostly a west coast joke. But since we’re not joking, I guess, I will say that we non east coasters do typically accept Maine as One Of Us for the reason you just said above.
