I used to live on Payson Ave and second this! You can make a whole day of it. Go to the cloisters, walk throuhg Inwood Park, look at cool architecture in the very rich neighborhood around the high 180s on the west side, get some Mofango on Dyckman.
In the city, Cloisters, though I’m sure you’ve been it’s a favorite spot I went to many times. Day trip, Storm King.

While the farmhouse is closed, it's still cool to walk by and on the north side of Inwood Park (only old growth forest in Manhattan) is the only estuary in all of Manhattan.https://dyckmanfarmhouse.org
