I was thinking the same thing. At the same time as Biden was working to get the Violence Against Women Act passed he was also chairing the Judiciary Committee's hearings on Clarence Thomas' nomination.
The image of him behind the Senate hearing room mic - shown in the VAWA context - will always be linked to many (most?) of us with Anita Hill.
