The rare unicorn swing voters who could decide this election? Women. Today is the 100th anniversary of? Suffrage. Yet only a fleeting nod from the DNC tonight.
One would think that if planning a convention & *checks notes* a massive critical voting bloc such as women (not a monolith!) were celebrating centennial of winning voting rights from *checks notes* White men it should get more than a nod when you need them to back a White man.
This surprised me. The date offered a great opportunity. On the other hand, there were many women of color in the roll call, & recognition throughout of the role indigenous people play in our past and present. Maybe one can’t blame a convention for trying to stay in the present?
