I just super doubt they’ll be pulling Warren out of Massachusetts with Charlie Baker still in office and the Senate on the line. If he appointed a Republican to replace her that could change the entire congressional landscape.
There are multiple ways the state legislature can take the power back from the governor and it’s controlled by Democrats. They’ve done it several times in the not too distant past. Elias wrote an entire legal memo on it in 2016 when Clinton vetted her.
