Like in practice: a single person would be black, but referring to a need to support a broader group of people would be BIPOC? Like one woman would be a lesbian but a larger group would be LGBTQ? In this context do people still object to BIPOC? Want to get this right! 2/2

Part of the issue is that a lot of people use BIPOC when they really mean just Black. If the thing you are talking about only or disproportionately impacts Black people, it’s a form of erasure to lump that into the term BIPOC.

Oh totally see that and agree that usage is not even accurate. Was wondering if there are overall objections to the term.
