Of course if they are sharing water and hugging masks will not work. But I’ve not seen that behavior. And while marching people seem like they’re trying to keep some distance. I do worry about people crowded at the front confronting the police lines.
I will say I rarely saw someone without a mask on and people were being as distant as they reasonably could be. Water and snacks were handed out and plenty to go around. PILES of unopened water when I came home around 9 p.m.
