      Just managed to hand off a wedding present on the third attempt after leaving it in the car and then on my desk. So if you’re still waiting for your wedding present from me, bear with me. The process is slow but eventually works.

      True story: We did receive one wedding gift almost exactly a year after the event--with a very nice note that cited the year rule.
