It's gotten to the point my communications with the DC DMV involved me sending back their letters with annotations such as *NEVER HAPPENED! *ALSO DID NOT HAPPEN! *NOT TRUE!

I had to go in person to renew my license b/c they claimed it wasn’t a Real ID. Hours later when I got up to the person, they were like “why didn’t you renew online?” “Oh, you got your real ID right at the beginning of them so the computer made a mistake. Sorry about that.” – at 1900 M Street

Honestly there are few things I dread more than any sort of interaction with the DMV in DC specifically. It's a reason to move to MD or VA imo.

Mine was they asked me for my birth certificate and then said I couldn’t use that as proof I was a citizen because it was a foreign certificate. My birth certificate was issued by the US Virgin Islands
