When the temperature drops below 55 or there is any precipitation all I want is pasta pasta pasta. Okay that also applies to above 55 and sunny but still.

BTW, I've started making my own pasta. It's really simple. I make tagliatelle. Follow Gennaro Contaldo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQulyZHJ8yY … It's really as easy as he explains. And it gives you an excuse to drink a glass of wine, b/c wine is need when making pasta.
Sounds like a plan to me! I made handmade pasta the past two winters but nothing requiring the machine like for spaghetti etc.

Screw the machine. Just go for tagliatelle, like he does. His recipe is simple and so are his techniques. You might mess it up the first time, so have a packet of ready pasta, if you don't have time to repeat same night. But by the third time, you'll fly through it.
