    Here's a transcript of the entire q&a from at the Jackson town hall, inexplicably being misrepresented by et al. as a criticism or insult of Obama. It wasn't. Period. cc.

    This is outrageous: —bc it criminalizes exercise of a right that no one should be stripped of, esp. over rules that are often unclear to people, —bc of the grotesque sentence, & —bc this stuff intimidates eligible voters who won't risk voting if voting might mean legal trouble.

    A judge sentenced a Texas woman to five years in prison yesterday for voting illegally while she was on supervised release from a prior conviction. Sacrificing her freedom to vote was not something she would knowingly do, she told the judge.

    Authenticity and not being afraid to stand up to the shouldn’t scare political consultants and pundits. It should be the norm.

    The thing about the Parkland students isn't that they're always spot-on—they've had better and worse moments as communicators. But they're at least as effective at politics as most professional pundits who have done it for years. Naturally, that's very threatening to the pundits.
