This is not about education. This is about nothing but $$$$ and control. We have programs and mechanisms to ensure lifelong learning and continuous education long before #MOC exists. Doctors, don't give the control to this org who has absolutely no oversight!!

Looking forward to being among the first class to try this. My recert letter came through this past year and I have been waiting to see what this program became. Thank you. #ABSurgery

Does this replace the 10-yr recertification exams or is it additive?

This assessment is intended to replace the recertification exam and was designed based on diplomate feedback. Please see our press release for more information: http://www.absurgery.org/default.jsp?news_ccrollout0318 …

This is very exciting! Physicians in Other specialties (IM, Peds, FM etc.) will be watching closely for duplication of this among their Boards.

Don't be fooled. We in FM aren't interested in @TheABFM following @AmBdSurg. We would be interested to see our surgeon colleagues realize that lifetime board cert is just that and join forces with @InfoNbpas to end extortion of #MOC @doctorwes

Is it so wrong to force unwilling MDs to pay for and participate in MOC. Please issue a statement saying no more relying only on MOC participation for insurance privileges/hosp credentialing. Very cynical and cruel to state MOC is voluntary when you know it is anything but....
