Gone is the minimum wage hike to $15 an hour, writes Linda McQuaig. Faster than you can say “for the people,” Ford has cancelled what amounted to a $2,000 annual pay increase that was headed for the pockets of the lowest-paid people.https://www.thestar.com/opinion/star-columnists/2018/10/24/ford-driving-a-race-to-the-bottom-for-ontarios-lowest-paid-workers.html?utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=SocialMedia&utm_campaign=900am&utm_campaign_id=Opinion&utm_content=forddrivingaracetothebottom …

I think businesses have always appreciated having a vast pool of desperate workers to draw on. Many business owners are enlightened enough to pay more than the minimum wage.

Their isn’t a massive pool of desperation workers. We’re in the reverse situation. By 2030 their will be more ppl over 65 than under 15 in Canada. This is why standards everywhere are dropping and migration promoted. Less workers = More pay, regardless.
