When I originally bookmarked this (probably around 2011) I left myself a note saying the same thing in a longer way. The question is: is this ability trainable?

Me as a 7 year old: -Why do adults walk all the time? Short sprints are fun! -Why do adults eat all the time? Who cares about skipping meals if you’re having fun thinking! -Doughnuts are delicious! Ok, I was wrong here.

I rather suspect doughnuts used to be delicious. E.g. bread is delicious, as are apples. They simply don't sell either of those things in supermarkets.

(Is that historical doughnut you’re talking about?) Anyway, they are delicious, but I keep wishing my parents had told 7yo me they weren’t healthy (they whispered to each other when I asked for more doughnuts and I couldn’t figure out why). Bread, sugar, etc. :(

(Well, aside from half a dozen other health interventions I wish my parents had encouraged, such as Mewing.)

Now doughnuts are both unhealthy and untasty. So I guess that's progress?
