I think the biggest signal we can get from this election is that the trend toward the leftist singularity (SJWism, identity politics, racial communism) that accelerated around 2010 hasn't stopped yet. In 2015-2016 I had some hope that this would reverse, but it hasn't yet.

There are two ways to reverse this: genes (demographics) and memes. The genetic trend is toward more racial communism, and right now we're not making memetic progress either. The censorship is effective.

This is too pessimistic. There has ceased to be an integrated trend. Increasing polarization has replaced the (broadcast media era) coherent leftist lurch.

Cultural disintegration will continue, but I think adding up all the vectors gets to a net increase in shitlibbery. As for disintegration of power/govt, I think an increase in authoritarian control from a leftist federal government is more likely than disintegration.

The Federal government has too much power, and the police and military will go along. Going against it is too difficult a collective action problem.

... Sure, but the Left is losing control of the Federal Government. They're going to have disintegration incentives as strong as those on the Right soon.

I'm very confident in their ability to regain control sometime after Trump.

...and instead of of auto-delegitimizing rhetoric, they will move onto auto-delegitimizing actions. When this delegitimizes them, they will double down.
