Ironically I don't know; I didn't learn stoicism by reading about it. Done properly it does what it says on the tin.

Cognitive behavioural therapy cites actual Greek stoics. CBT is the idea that fixing incorrect beliefs can fix hindering emotions. This is true. Just about any feeling that makes you weaker is due to a false belief.
