Allagash Brewing Co’s Tweets

Here’s something to ponder: time passes faster on the moon than it does here on earth. That’s because more gravity means a slower passage of time. And that’s why we’re sitting here enjoying our Allagash White at a relaxed, extra-chill earth-hour pace.

We're honored to report that all funds left in addition to our guests' tabs in our tasting room will go directly to the Travis Mills Foundation this November. We can’t thank you enough for supporting our veterans who have sacrificed so much. 📸: Travis Mills Foundation

Interlude is our strong saison partially aged in red wine barrels w/Brettanomyces yeast, lending the beer a flavor profile of pear, apricot, graham cracker, and bread crust. It's only available here at the brewery on draft and in 750mL & 1.5L bottles starting this Thurs. at 11am!

Translated from French, avancé means “advanced.” And the flavor profile of Avancé, our oak-aged quadrupel with fresh strawberries, is certainly one of the most complex that we make. This brewery-favorite beer is only available in our tasting room, starting tomorrow, Thurs 11/3.

Curieux is what happened when curiosity got the best of us. We wanted to see what would happen if we filled bourbon barrels with our Tripel. And we found out: It transformed the beer into a rich, oaky beauty with notes of vanilla, caramel, coconut, and bourbon.

We smash a bunch of pumpkins on Halloween, add them to a brew along with pumpkin seeds and molasses, and let it sit overnight in our coolship with the windows cracked, exposing it to the specters that haunt it each year. This is Ghoulschip, only available at the brewery.

We’ve got some hot news: Our tasting room will be closed this Monday, 10/24. And by “hot news” we mean to say that we’re taking the day to install our fire pits & heaters throughout our outdoor space to keep you cozy and comfy all winter long. Thanks as always for understanding!

Once they pop (the leaves) they won’t stop (until they fall on the ground). We're celebrating with Foliage Report, our dubbel ale, bursting w/notes of toffee, caramel, and classic Belgian fruitiness at 7% ABV. In your leaf-peeping travels, stop by the brewery to grab some today.

Right now, only at the brewery, we have seven (seven!) different varieties of our Coolship lineup available in bottles to take home, including Resurgam, La Mure, Proxima, Clermont, Charente, Cerise, and Pomme. Consider this a cool little insider tip. (A Cooltip.)

We’re going to be very honest: This feeling never gets old. Allagash White is a gold medal winner at the Great American Beer Festival this year. Knowing the passion and hard work so many of our fellow breweries put into their beers, we are grateful and humbled to be recognized.

The task was clear: brew an IPA that is exactly what we’d want to reach for. But with so many options for hops, malt, & everything else, how did our brewers land on a recipe? That’s the question we’re tackling in this podcast episode. You can listen here:

Take a ramble in the bramble with Honeyberry Tumble. Yep, honeyberries. They're shaped like a bell with notes of grape, blackberry, even cherry. So we added cherries along w/honeyberries to this sour golden ale. Rolling out now and hitting our tasting room starting Thursday!

This day in Maine took us from the seaside to the riverside. More Women Surf took us for an early morning surf at Higgins Beach. Later on, we shuffled up to Tops’l Farm in Waldoboro for a beautiful riverside dinner event in the woods. Surf 📷: Miranda Rico

On today’s Week In Maine adventure, we visited one of our favorites. Peaks Island is a 15-20 minute ferry ride from downtown Portland and features everything you'd want in a Maine Island: beauty, more beauty, rock skipping, an umbrella cover museum, and crazy good seafood.

Like Maine beers? Thank Maine farms. We recently visited some of our favorite Maine farms and food producers, including Pie Tree Orchard for apples, The Hop Yard for hops, and Go-en Fermented Foods for rice koji, a key ingredient in From Maine, With Love #20. Thanks, friends!
