Gotta have cool art, otherwise might as well just play checkers/ cards.

Yeah my thought is that there are certainly great gameplay experiences that don’t have good art, but there are also ones that do. So which am I going to buy?

I never thought much about it, but it plays a pretty big role when think about it.

Very much depends on the game and the price point. If I'm paying $10 I don't expect the same as if I'm paying $50 or $150 at all. But in those bigger games, it does become an extremely important factor to me.

That makes total sense.

Good art does matter! When you are purchasing a new game you want something that says wow or is fun and creative! There needs to be something there to help drive people to the box!

It probably plays a smaller role than I think. I love good art but if the game is good, it’s a good game regardless of art. Agricola and Space Empires both have bad art in my opinion but the games are still fantastic.

I definitely have some games that I don’t like the art of, but it took me a bit more convincing from reviews to buy them.

Pretty important. It's like a game's first impression.
