Recently cared for a child with asthma who had MIS-C last summer & was sick again. Parent was terrified about another potential critical illness.
The trauma is real; blanket statements that C-19 is NBD for kids is insensitive and just not true.

Many telehealth provisions are already extended through 2024, but we must make these permanent. It would be foolish to discard helpful innovations they make medicine more accessible just because people want to pretend covid never existed.

There’s a lot that’s concerning about this, but even if the pandemic were over (it’s not), why get rid of telehealth? It has made such a difference for patients with mobility issues, caregiving challenges, difficult work schedules etc. It should be a covid keeper in our toolbox.
