In fact, @EUinIsrael should announce that it too views Israeli settlements as entirely legal, because for all practical purposes it does. Never once has the EU taken any practical step to hold Israel accountable for its crimes. So just be open about your support for them!
My suggestion is that all governments and officials should shut entirely up about the US announcement on settlements unless they accompany any whining with announcement of concrete action and sanctions to roll back Israel's crime colonies. Otherwise put a sock in it.
What Palestinians absolutely do not need is more weak, hand-wringing empty statements of "concern" about settlements, while @EUinIsrael states work 24/7 to increase trade and aid for Israel, aiding and abetting its murder of Palestinians and theft of their land. Europeans shut up
