And more: "I just want you to relax, just have a good time for a few minutes. And then I’ll be heading to another location and then I’ll be heading back, but I have you totally in mind. Totally in mind."

Then 2) He said he raised the military's pay by ten percent. FACT: It was raised 2.8% in 2018 and another 2.6% in the current NDAA.

Here are the quotes from his speech in Iraq: "You haven’t gotten [a raise] in more than ten years. More than ten years. And we got you a big one. I got you a big one."

And -- "You had plenty of people that came up and said, you know, we can make it smaller. ...I said no. Make it ten percent. Make it more than ten percent. Because it’s been a long time." Both those quotes are lies that the president has been called out on before.

Lastly -- here's how Trump re-enacted conversations with his military leaders/advisers about leaving Syria which concludes with him saying, "Nope. I gave you a lot of 'six months.'" It was too complicated for a series of tweets so just read the attached.pic.twitter.com/RGlftMB3tn

Thank you for using the L-word. Appreciated.
-
In this case I decided it was warranted but that’s not always the case for the president or anyone else. The word “lie” denotes a level of willful deception that is not always there but can sometimes be empirically proven as in this case (repeatedly debunked)
-
trump knows he is lying every time he says something that is false. Don't treat him like a baby, he's the president. Hold him accountable.
-
The questions so often asked by news desks to correspondents: "What do you think he meant by that?" or "Is the President planning to...?" The only correct answer is "How the hell should anyone know what this President will say and why?"

Thank you for reporting it as LIES.

I would just say this - as a journalist, applying the word “lies” requires a high bar. In this case, the president is willfully repeating an untruth which has previously, repeatedly been debunked. Not every incorrect thing he says fits that criteria altho a growing # do

You are an honorable disciplined journalist. I respect that and all honest journalists. You are all so not enemies of the state and I trust what you tell me. I can’t say that for some so-called news outlets. Ie: trumps favorite news source.

Does he think the people he was talking to have never looked at their own pay stubs?!?
-
He's not really talking to them though. He's talking to his base at home, and they believe everything Great Leader says.
-
It’s amazing. Seriously, there has to me a more serious underlying chronic issue for someone to lie like this.

Everybody knows their own paycheck. And the soldiers will be able to tell the difference between the 2.8% increase they are getting and the phantom 10% increase they aren't getting. And they will all know they have been lied to
-
Just like
@realDonaldTrump phantom 10% middle class tax break we were getting before the midterms.#Liarinchief#TrumpResign#ResignTrump -
You mean before my taxes went up? I'm too poor to get a tax even in percentages, like the rich.
