    Starting September 1, the City of Alexandria will switch to the ParkMobile app for customers to pay by phone for metered parking. The same system is used in D.C., Arlington County, Montgomery County, and Prince George’s County. More info:

    Out of caution for the health & safety of our refuse collection team we have suspended collection today (Wed. Aug. 8) due to extreme heat conditions. Impacted areas: vicinity of Taylor Run between Duke St. & Janney’s Lane. Refuse will be collected first thing tomorrow morning.
