I've been writing about this for years - that we need to change the economic system. An economic system is a system of production and distribution. It doesn't have to involve business. It's the way we produce and distribute what we need. That's what we need to look at.

Unless the threat is seen as personal and imminent, most people will not react.

Systems are a collection of people, who historically don't respond as a system, they respond individually. So, systemic legislative remedies are often needed. Which get stymied by self-interest on both sides when those remedies are rejected by voters.

Transformational thinking breeds human actions for a world built for humans...that‘s the biggest success we can hope for.
