The Democrats don't need to flip that many seats to take control of the Senate. Not a supermajority but whoever has the majority controls what comes to the floor. They could run on "Restoring honor and faith to a Supreme Court tainted by scandal." That could be the message today.
I said earlier today that we vote locally while congressional power structures are national. Every Democratic Senator and senate challenger could be running against Mitch McConnell, a massively unpopular politician.
"Vote for me and we can take the senate away from 'Leader' McConnell, who chose to play politics and tainted the Supreme Court for a generation. We can stop him from coming for your healthcare ever again."
You can see how the Republican Party runs against Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. You can see it works! Is that how the system was intended? No. But it is what it has evolved into. Democrats are still following the rules of the game while Republicans have moved on to the metagame
We really need our Democratic electeds and candidates to pick this up, but in the meantime, we've got to do it for them. We've got to play the metagame. Talk to people about how much better their lives will be if we can just Ditch Mitch. That's it. That's the campaign.

The Democrats have got to run on taking out McConnell. It's the only way they're going to take the Senate, and they need the Senate. The GOP runs against Pelosi and Schumer because it *works*. There are four months left to sell this message. That's enough time. Ditch Mitch.
