It has taken all of my willpower to not just jump on a plane and go somewhere -- anywhere, Disney World probably, a remote island -- for just a hot second of escape. Shit has been nuts since early 2020 and 2022 is less than three months away. How is This?

Yup, haven't been to a restaurant, movie, or live event in nearly two years, all fun Halloween stuff cancelled for the second year in a row (the events are happening this year, but no way am I going)... I'm so exhausted, but not worth the risk, even when vacc'd.

Travel too. I usually make an annual pilgrimage to Japan to speak at a conference or see former host students and families, but country is locked down and I wouldn't go anyway right now. It's so sad. I don't see when this ends.
