Have you read the Kushiel Series? I only read the first 3 but I really enjoyed them when I did.

The Shades of Magic trilogy by V. e. Schwab. Has some kickass characters, including a woman who wants to be a pirate. About several connected alternate Earths, where the only similarity is that they have a London. One of them is ours in the early 19th century.

I also suggest Kushiel books (as stated above). First book is Kushiel’s Dart by Jacqueline Carey. They are not YA. It’s historical alternate fantasy with political intrigue, spying, sword fighting & sexy times. If you enjoy the first book, there are 9 books in the universe!
