Agreed. Very interesting findings, particularly regarding the unexplained connections during the election day. This really reinforces that argument for enhanced log monitoring and periodic filesystem analysis of the ballot scanning devices. Regular L&A testing is not sufficient.

A year ago, we were celebrating the fact that we got six Emmy Noms after being on the air for 3 months. This year, we beat out all the other nightly newscasts with NINE Emmy Nominations. If you're not watching us yet, perhaps you should be.

There's nothing quite as nefarious as a technical decision made via Slack: stakeholders miss it if they're not around, points are poorly stated as they're strung across 50 half-baked thoughts, context exists across pages of jumbled noise, *and* it's time consuming. I miss email.

You want to know something about how bullshit insane our brains are? OK, so there's a physical problem with our eyes: We move them in short fast bursts called "saccades", right? very quick, synchronized movements. The only problem is: they go all blurry and useless during this

HP iLO4 authentication bypass: curl -H "Connection: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" No, that's not a crash PoC. That's a full blown auth bypass. sscanf into fixed buffer overwrites a flag field that bypasses auth. Yes, really.

The year after my dad died was so bad I don't remember 90% of it. I moved to a new apt and was unable to unpack. For MONTHS. I was ashamed I couldn't unpack. How can you be UNABLE to unpack? Just open the g.d. boxes. That was the year I cried for 19 days. Straight. /1

It's the absolute conviction that your best work is behind you, or not as good as someone else's worst work, or that all your friends hate you and only tolerate you because mumble mumble reasons. It's the fear that says "don't self-promote, don't talk about your successes."

This afternoon, I received text alerts from my kids' school that they were on lockdown. I thought you might like to know what happens, from the perspective of my 12yo. I just picked her up from school and she was rattled and full of adrenalin.

A simple means by which to begin the rehabilitation of a deeply fractured nation would be through the restoration of the Fairness Doctrine, which required all TV and radio broadcasters to present opposing viewpoints on all issues. Introduced in 1949, revoked in 1985. Bad move.
