when Jayapal called warren to explain her decision to endorse Bernie, Jayapal told others that she felt Warren had questioned her feminism, according to a person Jayapal told at the time. This happened soon after the “woman can’t win” story broke.
Warren doesn’t mention that story much in her book except to write -- with the passive voice -- that “it leaked that Bernie had told me that a woman couldn’t win.”
On the creation of the $14 million Super PAC that kept her afloat after Sanders outpaced her in the initial contests, Warren writes that “a stunningly generous woman put $14 million into a super PAC.”
I also asked Warren why she didn’t endorse after she dropped out. She sighed and gave an uncharacteristically slow, halting answer. “There were a few more states to vote...I knew I wanted to wait until there was just one person in the race, and get 100 % behind that person.”
No. She’s running to be re-elected to her Senate seat.
She’s running for RE-election. To her senate office.
