According to the chinese studies children can get infected and do shed the virus in high quantities (for example via stool ) but are very rarely sick.

Age & preexisting conditions shouldn’t matter. Every fatality is someone’s mom or dad, spouse, friend, or grandparent, sibling, son or daughter. It doesn’t matter if they were old or had underlying conditions. The old & medically fragile are not consolation prizes for survival.
