    1. What if The current system of , and rests on a mistake? It presupposes that if individual study protocols are ethically acceptable, the whole system will be as well. and I argue that this is false.

    I’m excited to announce that I just signed a contract for my book, For The Common Good: Philosophical Foundations of Research Ethics, with Oxford University Press. Looking at a complete first draft I’m excited to revise and eventually submit the whole thing.

    Today I signed a letter accepting the invitation from the Secretary of Health and Human Services to serve on the National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity (NSABB). I will do my best to serve with integrity.
