I think an interesting experiment would be to edit together individual character cuts of the film. Like, what does the film look like if we just follow Thor, or Iron Man, or the Guardians?
Someone I saw it with raised this and... I think it would lose a lot? Because, like in the latter Star Wars films I reckon it's borrowing from, a lot of the tension comes specifically from cutting back and forth.
