Going to try something. I review roughly a comic a week for CBR, but it all tends to be first issues. A thread of tweet-length mini-reviews, of new books I checked out and ones I've followed since reviewing. #suggestionsforaunitinghashtagwelcome
THANOS ANNUAL #1 is... well, it's kind of hard to review an anthology in a single tweet. But I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd hoped from the line-up of creators (Gillen, Ewing, Irving, North, Araujo, etc etc). Maybe I just don't *get* Thanos?pic.twitter.com/9DAdgZEGxG

AVENGERS #690: I've written something about NO SURRENDER as a whole which should be going up shortly, but this is the perfect last issue for a surprisingly fun series. A real 'after the afterparty' feel, as the heroes reflect on 15 issues of battling and rescuing.pic.twitter.com/8FxZy6lySI

That's everything for now, let me know if this was of any use and if you'd like to see it again next week. I'm aware it's very biased towards Marvel and to a lesser extent Image, because they're the publishers who send me advance review copies. DC, call me. x

A cheeky bonus: MOTHERLANDS #4. This series has taken longer to settle in than any other Spurrier comic I've read. Maybe because it's (I think) an ongoing, maybe because art duties have been passed around – but with this issue it's finally starting to come together for me.pic.twitter.com/5KkL41I2WC
