I ... don't really get it? We watched 1&2 together, and there were cool bits but I don't feel like any actual characters were established.
Also, that was too many Klingon scenes. And Kid Klingons look stupid (as does Johnny Eyebrows, the Vulcan dude).

I think I'm always expecting the bits of Trek I watch to explain the appeal to me, and this didn't do that.

It's like Star Wars except everyone's at work? Like Firefly but you follow the boring ones in the big spaceships?
