...But I'm not sure the actual rainy periods serve any purpose except making you wait, or encouraging you to build a fire and sleep through.

Maybe I'm playing it wrong, though. Also, as a sun worshipper, might be bringing my own weather-prejudices to bear.

The bottom line is: Breath of the Wild is as incredible as everyone says it is, and playing it on Switch makes me anticipate train journeys.
