Hmm. I think also it's a way of directing Betty's attention away from Archie, Jughead is interested in what she's doing.

Also, helps that Jughead is much more interesting than Archie so I'm naturally shipping them? But there's no passion there

It seems very PG. Hmmm, I'm still watching it but I don't think it's found a groove yet, which is the disconnect.

But I am really enjoying it's representation of teen life as dark and exciting rather than glossy and silly (Gossip Girl)
