This is really well-argued and has mostly won me over (also, amazing that it's on Eurogamer) but I still have reservations.
Namely: A) That non-passive resistance is something we might have to be ready for?

(That sounds melodramatic but I mean, politics of politeness aren't always effective if you don't hold power)

And B) I think the 'you have to be better than them' argument of respectability can be a problem for less enfranchised groups
