Which is especially frustrating because, as I say, there are good points about ignoring slavery and making these figures more sympathetic.

On one hand that was intentionally lampooning how the article worked, but on the other it is actually just doing the exact same thing.

I guess my only defence is that this Twitter, rather than an actual publication. (Admittedly, haven't looked into whether that outlet pays.)
