So, having basically no investment in the DCU, I read DC Rebirth #1. It's not even close to being a story, but it's not badly told.

I really liked the trick where it went from nine panels to four panels to two, and then the other way, in the bookending sequences.
A smart way of transitioning from one type of story to another. What it's all in aid of, mind, I'm a lot less sure about.

Also, for a comic that's ostensibly about superheroes learning to smile again, they could have picked artists with a sunnier style.
