I think the USB ports on my PC might be starting to fail. Every five minutes or so, my Bluetooth controller disconnects and the wi-fi (through a USB dongle) cuts out. PC-heads, any suggestions?

USB wi-fi adapters are almost universally rubbish, and if you're playing musical ports now, you'll never stop. Of course, if you can run an ethernet cable, then that's even better and cheaper than the PCIe card.
Ethernet is what I've been doing up till now, but (seemingly) unrelated internet problems led us to rework our entire booster setup. But now you mention it, the cable should still reach...

Boosters are another thing that frequently don't work. I've got 50ft of ethernet cable going behind the sofa, up the stairs and under the carpet as a result.
