I need help finding a video game. It was a spaceship dogfight style shooter. Similar to Halo in that you’re jumped by an advanced alien race early in the game, their ships all have like purple shields and I think you chase them into a wormhole.... Played it on PC 2000s ish

Thank you both - I was thinking of a game called FREESPACE. I have been saved and I can thankfully get on with my day without the cloud of unknowing hanging over me
