'Oubliette' sounds like a word you'd use in the sentence 'let's have supper out on the oubliette this evening' but turns out it's more 'secret dungeon with access only through a trapdoor in its ceiling'.

It first entered my vocabulary as the name of an S&M-themed Marvel supervillain. Which gives "let's have supper on the Oubliette" a very different vibe.
