It's Saturday morning and I feel like injecting a bit of positivity so LET'S DO SOME RECS. Stuff I've watched/listened to/played recently and loved. Throw your own in, if you fancy.

Basically, if you like Spider-Man – the whole double-life high school thing – this is better than most Spider-Man stories. Understand that the horrors of the bail system might be an obstacle to some people's enjoyment, but it's careful not to glorify.

It's also got a sense of place that feels like an immediate missed opportunity in most teen fiction. It's set in Georgia, the leads are the daughters of white Christian Republicans, and it does some interesting stuff with that. (And doesn't limit its perspective *to* that.)

I need to catch up on this. The Spurrier Miniseries (see also: Six-Gun Gorilla, Godshaper, The Spire) is one of the most reliably excellent forms of comic available. It's all out now, so I'll do it in one sitting and probably love it. https://twitter.com/Joshubuh/status/1327557014382387200 …
