Finally played my first game of Among Us. Immediately got killed and, being unprepared for this eventuality, shouted: [NAME OF PLAYER] KILLED ME! This remarkable strat not appreciated by other players, it turns out.

Definitely a factor - I’m so used to blathering on in The Resistance etc, feels alien (ahem) to have to do all that with actions rather than words.
I also think the game is quite bad at teaching stuff like that, so it feels kind of like house rules? Presumably this is where (for most players) watching streamers play it first comes in.

I wonder if this is the game being designed for just text chat, and then being suddenly hit with an influx of zoom users after that became a thing in lockdown? But yeah - I had to look up a ‘how to play without being a nob’ article online
