Finally played my first game of Among Us. Immediately got killed and, being unprepared for this eventuality, shouted: [NAME OF PLAYER] KILLED ME! This remarkable strat not appreciated by other players, it turns out.

Ha! I played for the first time yesterday and was merrily blathering on about where I was going, what I was up to etc before being told to shut my face

Same! Tool me a moment to realise that saying "guys, if i die in the next 20 seconds it was Dom" breaks the game. I think coming from similar tabletop games is a factor – they kind of train you to just keep talking.
